Keeping more clients with better customer service
Keeping more clients with better customer service One thing we have to keep in the forefront of our minds as our business begins to grow is the power of customer service. After all, we are all in the business of fixing problems. Every client you have right now is your client because he or she had a problem and you fixed it, simply put. Never thought of it that way, this fact is true, and the reason you are reading this right now is, there is something you want to do better, or want to begin doing so in essence you are looking for a solution as all your clients are, when they call you. If we can remember this from the company level then we will look at customer complaints from a different perspective. When a customer complains, about a service or product, he/she does not really care about your product or service, what they care about is the problem they were, having in the first place that is as of yet unresolved. Your client has made a purchase from you, for you to fix there particular problem and your solution has come up short. The only thing that the client is looking for is to have his original problem fixed. Below is and example of customer service explained and how it has saved one client and created an onslaught of referrals from this client. Let us assume one of our clients calls in and begins to complain about how long it took our company to repair his pc. He also tells us there is another company online that does remote support and they have a 24×7 30 sec response time. In addition, it took us 1 hour to respond and 15 minutes for repair. So what do we do, the product he purchased (DirectTek core) clearly states response time to calls are 2-4 hours and our (DirectTek pro) has a 30 second response time and repairs average 8 minutes. Clearly, our client has purchased the wrong product and what he is upset about is the solution we presented does not fit his needs. The biggest mistake we could make at this point is putting the blame on the client. We could tell him that when we presented our solution to you, it was your company that chose the core product; furthermore, our response times are clearly indicated. We would be right in telling him that but we would probably be with one less client. Instead, we choose to use the opportunity as an up sell versus a loss of a client. we would tell the client in this example, “Sir we are sorry we did not live up to your expectations, but we do have a product that is better suited to you needs and at this time we would like to offer you our DirectTek pro. This solution will resolve your downtime issues and due to you being unsatisfied with our other product we will offer it to you at a 10% discount rate with one month free”. For us to do this our profit margin on that sale will be less then usual. We also have to give him a month free (more loss) but remember the client has already purchased the first product(profit) now he purchases a second product (profit) and he will tell his colleagues about how great our company is, (word of mouth) all in all I think the customer service went a long way. Good customer service does not have to be performed only in the face of problems though. One of the most profitable forms of customer service comes in the form of cross selling. Let’s use our insurance broker as an example. One of our clients (Associated Management) implemented a cross sale, customer service plan here’s how it works. They specialize in worker’s compensation they also carry automobile, fleet, and life insurance. They implemented a customer service call center which would call there existing customer to make sure they were happy with there current insurance solutions. They then began the up sell process of explaining to them the discount they would receive by converting there fleet, life and automobile insurance over to them. As well as making it more convenient to the client by having to only, keep track of one company instead of dealing with multiple companies. It lead to an 11.3% increase in revenue (recently implemented give us some time) Conclusion: Stay in the business of fixing problems and you will stand a better chance of staying in business.12 Years as an I.T. professional, jobs involve but not limited to Help Desk manager,Jr Admin, Sr.Admin,MIS Director,MIS Account Manager/purchaser,Technical Outsource Coordinator,Software Trainer,Network Design. Currently I.T. Consultant
Source: www.ArticlePros.com

Protect Your Merchant Account With Secure Payments
Are your current payment processing methods secure? The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards were created to make sure payment gateways keep your data secure. Payment Card Industry payment gateways are fully compliant with all Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards. This gateway system provides vital protection for e commerce merchants that process credit cards. Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) is the world wide standard for consumer data protection across the payment industry. The regulation is used to protect credit card information from being stored, processed or transmitted by non PCI certified entities. PCI standards require organizations that handle bank cards to conform to security standards and follow certain levels of requirements for testing and reporting. The Standard offers a single approach to safeguarding sensitive data for all card brands. Each card type has a different name for PCI. Master Card - Site Data Protection (SDP) Program. VISA - Cardholder Information Security Program (CISP). American Express - Data Security Requirements. Discover - Discover Information and Security Compliance (DISC). Consequences for failing to comply with all data security regulations are very serious. Fines and penalties, starting at $25,000, may be accessed against the merchant banks. The banks immediately pass responsibility and liability for the fines directly to the merchant. Merchant accounts may be restricted and can be terminated on a permanent basis. The easiest way to guarantee protection for your business and your customers is to use a PCI certified e commerce processing gateway. A PCI certified gateway meets all the stringent standards demanded for PCI compliance. The gateway automatically updates all changes to PCI security, keeping you continuously protected. Using a PCI certified gateway is simply the smart way to safeguard your online business. Tina Brandon has been involved in the payment processing industry for the past 15 years.
The Best Absolute Shopping Cart How To Exactly Get One
Not all shopping cart software is worth buying or suitable for your business Here are some things to consider before you make a purchase . .In general, a shopping cart program can help your business one way or the other But whether you like it or not, some of them are much better than the others for a lot of reasons Since you’re trying to make an investment, you want one that will give you the best kinds of returns: . . .How do you look for the most appropriate shopping cart program? Make use of the following tips: . .1 Make sure it has all the features you need Different businesses require different needs Thus, no matter how comprehensive a shopping cart software is, if it doesn’t have one fundamental thing that you’re looking for, it’s still not the one for you It will help you a lot if you can identify first what the goal of your business is, the nature of it, and the key elements that comprise it . .2 Know how it’s going to receive payments form customers You need to understand the process of how your shopping cart programs accept payments Does it immediately debit the account from your customer’s credit card, or does it take few days before you can receive the amount? Is there a third-party who’s going to help you out in processing the payment, or will your shopping cart program be a stand-alone processor? . .You should not miss out on this one as sales are the main source of profits of your business If you can’t get your payments on time, you will delay paying your suppliers, and there will be some out-of-stock items that you can no longer purchase . .3 Identify the marketing strategies that you can do with it There are a number of shopping cart software that will allow you to hit two birds in one stone This means that not only can you process payments and build your Products page, but you can also market your business, particularly online This could be through newsletters and mailing lists Moreover, some e-commerce software are friendly to search engines, making it easier for you to optimise them . .4 Make sure you can make the necessary adjustments such as tax Goods need to be taxed not for your gain but in compliance of government laws A shopping cart software can permit you to do that, but it should not be pegged in a fixed percentage alone Otherwise, you will be shouldering a portion of it once the tax rate increases . .5 Ensure that you can generate reports and keep track of statistics You need reports, such as on sales and shipping costs, so you can plan your business more properly To be able to maximise the use of the shopping cart program, find one that will allow you to do so It could be e-mailed to your inbox, printed in hard copy, or stored in your database This way, you will be able to create different backup copies of them . .Remember that the best doesn’t necessarily mean the most ideal one Stick to what is essential and can generate huge profits for your business .
Source: www.rsstnx.com

How Can You Pay Your International Employees, Affiliates, and Distributors?
Let s face it, the entire world is moving to electronic payments. The reason is obvious. Electronic payments are safe, fast, and easy to track. Funds are accessible to your workforce quickly. Most importantly, electronic payments can save your company money. You can issue paper checks but what happens when they are stolen or lost? Also, tracking paper checks around the world is an expensive administrative nightmare. Forward thinking businesses are using both international debit cards and global direct deposit to pay people around the world. With the advantages of international debit cards and global direct deposit, you are able to automate your operations and increase productivity that will help you retain your competitive edge. If you have traditional direct deposit, workers must have bank accounts into which the money can be deposited. International debit cards and global direct deposit allow you to pay your network of world wide employees in their own currency. This solution eliminates currency conversions, fluctuations, and confusion. Across the world, debit cards are the fastest growing way to disburse payments. Cards can be used by those that do not have bank accounts. Today, you ll find workers with bank accounts often prefer to be paid on a debit card instead of direct deposit. International debit card funds on the cards are easily accessible at any ATM or point of sale location around the world that accepts bank cards. The small fees associated with the use of cards are more than offset by the convenience and immediate accessibly to cash provided by the cards. If your company issues more than 10,000 international debit cards, you receive the added benefit of branding your debit card. Each time a new card is issued anywhere in the world, the company brand is expanded. Your business needs global payment solutions in a technologically advanced marketplace. International debit cards and global direct deposit can enable your business. Tina Brandon has been involved in the payment processing industry for the past 15 years.

An Ecommerce Internet Merchant Account
Small business owners and home based entrepreneurs sometimes reach the point where they realize their company is ready to grow, and then they begin to consider the advantages of an ecommerce Internet merchant account. Those who accept merely cash or check payments may decide to increase the ways in which a customer can pay for goods or services. A merchant account will let business owners accept credit card payments in many different ways. That is why so many business people opt to apply for an Internet merchant account. If you do not already have an Internet Website to promote your business, this would be a good time to put one in place by opening an Ecommerce Internet Merchant account. More and more, consumers are looking to the Internet to find companies that offer the products and terms they want. Conducting business on the Internet or through technological means is called “ecommerce,” sometimes spelled as “e-commerce,” and it is growing at a tremendously rapid rate. Once your Website is operational, you will want to update it often with your latest product lines and descriptions and price lists. Once customers from any other computer in the world know where to find you, chances are they will return time and again if they like your site; they might even bookmark it. To keep customers coming back, get an Ecommerce Internet merchant account that will let you accept credit card payments. That way, customers can buy things at your store locations, whether online or at a physical site, and pay for them instantly. You won’t have to send out statements or wait for checks to arrive in the mail. Instead, your credit-processing feature will let them pay with a credit card, and your underwriter can facilitate the payment by converting currency and deposit profits in your account, using real time. An ecommerce Internet merchant account can put you leagues ahead of other companies in your industry. While they still take just check or cash payments, you can be busy processing credit card payments that could push your sales volume to new record heights. Naturally, you will want to keep your store looking attractive, and your Website should offer helpful information that will make guests want to return and possibly even bookmark your site for frequent reference. When the word gets out that you are accepting credit payments, more customers may browse your Website to check out your wares and plunk down a credit card in payment. One of the nice things about using credit is its convenience. Customers don’t have to worry about carrying enough cash or making an account deposit before going shopping. They can browse spontaneously, and when they find something they want to buy, they need not be constrained by a lack of cash on hand or forgetting to order new checks for the checkbook. Why not apply for your merchant account services account soon so that you can enjoy the status and benefits of attracting customers who prefer using credit when they hear about your ecommerce Internet merchant account. Shane Penrod is the founder of <a href="http://www.Merchant-Account-Quotes.com" target="_blank">http://www.Merchant-Account-Quotes.com</a> Specializing in allowing merchants the ability to shop and compare multiple quotes from national merchant account providers.
How To Accept Credit Cards Without A Merchant Account
To increase sales on your website, you must accept credit cards. To process credit cards, you could apply for a merchant account through your bank or other financial institution. Sometimes, though, you would be further ahead to use the services of a credit card processor. This is especially true when you are first starting out and have more limited resources. In this way, you may process credit card transactions without the high front-end costs and requirements of a merchant account. Here, then, are just a few ways of accepting credit cards without a merchant account. I personally use all of these vendors and can recommend them wholeheartedly. 1. Clickbank If your product is downloadable (such as electronic books or software), you might consider ClickBank.com . For a $49.95 initial fee, you can process credit cards and on-line cheques for $1.00 per transaction plus 7.5% of sales. You receive additional exposure through free listing on their website and through the search facilities of other websites, such as CBMall.com. As an added bonus, you have your own built-in affiliate program. You decide what commission (from 1% to 75%) you would like to pay your affiliates. 2. PayPal PayPal.com has no initial fees. For just 2.9% of sales and $ .30 per transaction (and sometimes less), you can receive money from anyone. Also, you can pay others by credit card or chequing account without supplying your personal credit information to the payee. PayPal can be used to collect money from your auctions, website sales, or even from friends or clients. 3. PaySystems In the original edition of this article, I recommended PaySystems.com (also known as MyPaySystems.com). This is what I wrote about them: “PaySystems.com can handle either intangible (downloadable) or tangible (shippable) products. For an initial fee of $49.00, you can accept all major credit cards as well as online checks. Fees are just 3.95% of sales and $1.00 per transaction. Alternatively, you may pay 5.5% of sales and $ .35 per transaction.” “For this, you receive shopping cart, integration with third-party affiliate programs (such as ClixGalore.com), fraud screening, multi-currency transactions, toll-free support, marketing tools, and more.” Unfortunately, PaySystems.com has discontinued their “Internet Billing Account” for those outside the United States. 4. 2CheckOut 2CheckOut.com can handle both intangible and tangible products. For an initial fee of $49.00, you can accept all major credit cards as well as online checks. Fees are just 5.5% of sales and $0.45 per transaction. For this, you receive shopping cart, fraud detection, integration with third-party affiliate programs, multi-currency transactions, free on-line support, and more. Incidentally, 2CheckOut.com has the same policy as ClickBank.com does with regard to sales taxes. Both companies take the position that you are selling your product to them and that they resell it to the final consumer. Thus, they claim that you are not subject to sales taxes on those sales. J. Stephen Pope, President of Pope Consulting Inc., has been helping clients to earn maximum business profits for over twenty-five years.
Merchant Account Services
What can Merchant Account Services do for your business? Here is a preview of some of the advantages that your company can enjoy when your application is approved for a merchant account. 1. Merchant Account Services can provide your business with a credit line that is similar to the one offered by a personal credit card. You will have to apply for it, of course, and your company must meet the acceptance criteria to be approved. In general, your company should not have a history of bankruptcy, nor should it have a bad credit background overall. You should not be involved in shady dealings or the type of business that lenders hesitate to approve. These may vary by lender, so ask your preferred financial underwriter whether your type of enterprise will qualify. You also should be able to demonstrate that your organization has the means to pay monthly fees associated with a merchant services account. Under these conditions, a lender is likely to approve your business for this special account. 2. Merchant Account Services can equip your company with various type of electronic equipment and credit card processing technology. If your own a shop or store, for example, you can install a tabletop credit card processor for the cashier’s use at checkout. You can get one with a combination terminal and printer for better spatial management and convenience. Another version is the wireless model that you can take with you for deliveries or remote service. You can process payments onsite before leaving without the hassle of leaving a statement and hoping the customer remembers to pay on time each month. 3. Merchant Account Services is ready to advance your company when you are. In addition to a credit card processor, you can become equipped with a pager and an e-check or debit processor for added convenience. For more sophisticated credit card processing applications, you can ask about wireless options and install a phone order and payment system that is operated by keypad touch or dialing. Your clients will be able to dial a toll-free number, listen and respond to prompts, and then enter a credit card number for point-of-sale payment. 4. Merchant Account Services can prepare your company for the electronic age of business by helping you to set up a Website that provides a credit card payment option. Your site can list a complete product description guide, along with prices and ordering information, allowing your customers to transact business at their convenience and pay instantly in real time with a credit card. Your lender will coordinate a gateway to deposit payments in your company’s account. Your company will outdistance competitors in the field by offering customers the latest bill-paying technology. Your merchant account can position your company for growth and success that you never imagined. Of course, you will need to check out the fees and any possible risks associated with a merchant services account, but you will probably find that your company is likely to benefit when you apply and are approved for Merchant Account Services. Shane Penrod is the founder of <a href="http://www.merchant-account-quotes.com" title="http://www.merchant-account-quotes.com" target="_blank">http://www.merchant-account-quotes.com</a> Specializing in allowing merchants the ability to shop and compare multiple quotes from national merchant account providers.

The Best Deal with Online Auction!
If you list a few items “here and there” at online auctions, it only takes a few minutes to get your items up for sell. However, if you build an online auction big business with hundreds of items for sale, you’ll run out of time and energy fast. That’s why automation is so important. Even if you find the wonderful one stop online auction shop where you can sell all your items in one place, automation will still be necessary to keep the business going - and keep your sanity! Here are some great ways to automate your auction tasks. There are software programs that are specially made for auctions. These programs will store all your listings in a database along with titles, descriptions, photos, pricing and shipping details. Some programs have a feature where you can save templates for certain categories. For example, if you sell household products, you might use the same template for all household items. Then, you might use a completely dissimilar template for your wholesale products. Therefore, you can save each template and have them available when you need them. A great benefit of using auction software is you can list more items in less amount of time or visit www.auctions-profits.com Here’s how it works: Type in your listings and accompanying details. Upload photos or banners for your listings. Submit the items to the auction site for listing. It’s that simple. Without this software, you will likely have to submit each item by hand through an online form with some screens. This could take several minutes or longer per listing. To get this software, check with your one stop online auction shop first. They might offer the software as a free tool. Use the search engines to search for “auction software” or “auction listing automation.” Once items have been sold, you should have some email templates ready to go for “thank you” messages, up-sell messages, etc. Create several “thank you” emails for the types of goods you offer, each being customized for those customers.

Compare Merchant Accounts
“Compare Merchant Accounts” is one of the best pieces of information a company owner can receive. All merchant accounts are not created equal, and it will be up to you to find the best package for your particular enterprise. Here are a few tips to keep in mind. Compare Merchant Accounts for lenders. You need to find a reputable lender that will work with you to protect and grow your company interests. Someone who doesn’t care or who issues a merchant account solely to make money is not the best underwriter to take on as partner. Look at things like how long the company has been in business, who manages it, other services that are provided, and the company’s standing in the business community. You may want to read the newspaper’s business articles archive for recent press releases or company news. You also could browse a few industry publications to get a feel for who the best lenders in the business might be. You want to find a lender with a reputation for integrity, honesty, and professionalism as well as capability. Compare Merchant Accounts for services. A merchant account’s greatest advantage, at least as claimed by some experts, is the ability for a company owner to accept credit card payments. You need to find out which credit card payment method is best for your company. For example, do you plan to accept credit payments at your company’s location? Or will you or another employee take a wireless unit on the road for point-of-sale transactions at residential or business locations? Perhaps you are thinking about establishing a Website presence to attract customers from every location in the world. Find out what your preferred lender will support, along with possible fees for maintenance and service agreements. Compare Merchant Accounts for costs. Some lenders may ask you to pay an online application fee. Others may want you to join and pay an annual membership rate. There can be print statement fees, gateway costs, and other expenses associated with your merchant account. In addition, you will have to pay for the actual service that may be calculated on a per-transaction basis costing perhaps a few cents per payment or a low monthly overall interest rate that may or may not impose certain minimums. Read the fine print, ask lots of questions, and be prepared to do your homework before signing the contract. A merchant account may be the single most important decision you will need to make on your company’s behalf. Compare Merchant Accounts for service. Even in the application stage, does the company provide easy access to personnel who can answer questions or help you understand the process? Are the company associates courteous and knowledgeable? Can you follow their directions? If you experience a problem, is the company prompt in responding to issues and resolving complaints? If a problem arises with the processing services, will the lender work with you to reinstate service as quickly as possible? Considerations like these can help you competently Compare Merchant Accounts! Shane is the owner of <a href="http://www.merchant-account-quotes.com" target="_blank">http://www.merchant-account-quotes.com</a> A site where you can shop and compare multiple quotes from national leading merchant account providers. <a href="http://www.merchant-account-quotes.com" target="_blank">http://www.merchant-account-quotes.com</a>
Source: www.ArticlePros.com

Credit Card Merchant Account Services
Did you know that credit card merchant account services could possibly multiply your sales receipts within a matter of weeks or months? Of course, other factors will play a role in the overall success of this strategy, but many company owners claim that the simple step of accepting credit card payments increased their income dramatically in a relatively short amount of time. That is why you need to know more about the benefits of credit card merchant services. Basically, the premise of using credit card merchant account services works like this. You find a trusted lender with experience in merchant accounts. You might even want to check with customers at some of the lending institutions to see if they are satisfied with their merchant account services. You also can find online testimonials, although these may be biased when situated at the Websites of various lenders. You could visit chat rooms devoted to topics like this one that are sure to be discussed among entrepreneurs or start-up business owners. After getting objective feedback on several possible lenders, you can choose the one that seems like the best bet for your company. It is a simple process to apply for credit card merchant account services. After reducing your possible underwriters to three or four after searching the Internet or checking with colleagues, it then becomes a matter of comparing and contrasting benefits with fees. Some companies are so well known that they can afford to charge more for their merchant account services. Others have recently added this option, so they might reduce, avoid, or omit certain fees in order to get your business. However, you may have to pay these fees after the first year or another type of trial period. Read all the terms carefully so that you understand how the account works, how much it costs, and what the potential glitches might be. Contact the lender with any questions or uncertainties before applying for an account. Then, when approved, you should feel confident that you have made a good investment. Obtaining credit card merchant account services will let you accept credit card payments from your customers in a variety of ways. If you own or operate a store, for example, they can pay onsite with a credit card processor that you can plug into a wall outlet. But if you deliver goods or services to homes or businesses, you may want to take along a wireless credit card processor. Depending on how your customers like to pay and the level of involvement you want to pursue, you can add a pager and an e-check or debit processor right away or later on, depending on equipment cost and your need. Being approved for a merchant services account will help you expand the way you do business. Many consumers prefer to pay by credit card, so accepting payments via this method will attract that segment of buyers and increase your volume of sales. Soon your profit margins should increase as well. Start thinking now about adding credit card merchant account services to your business.
10 Safety Tips For Buying On eBay
eBay has become a household name for shoppers. A lot the buyers on eBay are not regular internet shoppers but they still shop on eBay. Such is the power of eBay giving simplicity of shopping and top bargains. From time to time, there is some fraud on eBay about fake fashion items, event tickets that do not exist, some expensive electronic items that do not exist. eBay does its best to intervene and resolve such disputes. As a shopper, you can follow these 10 safety tips to avoid being conned. 1. Check the seller?s feedback. Positive feedback rating of over 95% is good. If there are many recent negative feedbacks, then this is not a good indication. Also, read all the negative feedbacks. Are these negative feedbacks reasonable? What type of response does the seller have for these feedbacks? Does the seller?s defense sound reasonable? Sometimes new members who buy items on eBay are paranoid and they leave a negative feedback in a haste so make sure if the seller has defended himself/ herself in a reasonable manner. If there are too many complaints of the same nature, then it is probably true. 2. The sellers must have some kind of identification or recognition seal like Paypal verified, or Square trade or a Powerseller seal on the auctions. Such sellers are more reliable. This is especially a good check when you buying an expensive item. 3. Ask seller a question before bidding on the item. Responsible sellers reply promptly to questions. Also, if the seller actually has the item, he/ she maybe able to answer a valid question otherwise not. 4. If you are buying something expensive, then get the contact information of the seller at http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQtZvbQQsofindtypeZ9. You have to login to your eBay account and send a request. You can get the seller?s address and phone number. In doing this, your address and phone number will also be emailed to the seller. 5. The items must have pictures unless it is a service that is sold on eBay. If there is no picture, then the items is probably not there. Almost all sellers will put at least one picture of the item. Let?s assume that the item is there but the seller has been lazy in not putting the picture in the auction ad. Would you like to deal with someone who is so careless? It just shows that the item may not be in good condition, maybe defective or broken. 6. Check description of the item. Research other websites for the same item. Some of the shopping websites to research would be shopping.yahoo.com, overture.com and shopping.msn.com. These sites are adequate for researching items and get the description that you need. The eBay description should match item description on other sites. 7. Research prices for the item on sale. If the item on sale is Gucci handbags, then search for this model of handbag on shopping.yahoo.com. If it retails for $800 on Yahoo and seller on eBay is selling a brand new one for $90, then this item may not be authentic! Large wholesaler are able to sell items for around 50% of retail but something like an original Gucci handbag, it is unlikely that a seller would let go for $90 because these items sell like crazy. Just a note on fraud items ? a lot of fraud eBay occurs on fashion items. This is very unfortunate and eBay has taken a lot of steps to eliminate fraud. 8. If the seller has not mentioned any shipping and handling terms, then ask before bidding. There are many auction ads, where the seller mentions that shipping and handling will mentioned to the winning bidder. Surprisingly, there are bids on that item! If you start bidding on the item, then it means that you agreed to the terms and condition of the sellers and there is less room for you to dispute later so ask for the clear instruction on shipping and handling. 9. Reliable sellers have clear description on their refund policy. If it is not there, then ask the seller for it. If the seller has no refund policy, then do not bid on the item. If the there is no refund policy in the auction description, then make sure you get the refund policy in an email from the seller. In this way, you have a document of the refund policy. 10. Do a search for the sellers past items on eBay. Check to see if the seller has sold similar items in the past. To search on the past auctions, go to the Advanced Search page. Here click on the items by seller link and type in the sellers ID and check the box for Include Completed listing. It is always good to check this especially if you are considering buying something expensive. The author Guillermo Jalil owns several businesses including eBay business and other internet businesses.
